Top 10 Worst Marvel Movies, Ranked

So, my last post was about the best Marvel movies. Obviously, like any studio, Marvel has messed up and released poor movies, disappointing fans and lowering its reputation. Today I will discuss the worst Marvel movies ever.

10. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy introduced the comical Guardians, but its sequel was one of the worst movies in the MCU. It was poor due to the disappointing plot and it's lacking humour. The second movie was definitely a deterioration of the first. Here's to hoping that the Vol. 3 will be better. But it was watchable, unlike the rest of this list. It is for this reason that it is the best entry in the list.

9. Captain America: The First Avenger

Truly the best of the Captain America movies, but the movie leaves too much to be desired. At most parts, this movie is a very boring experience. Time slows down when the movie is watched. I remember dozing off the first time I saw this one. It doesn't even introduce much to the MCU. It is not required to understand the rest of the movies.

8. Iron Man 2

The Iron man movies get worse and worse(luckily he's dead now so no Iron man 4!!). Iron Man 2 introduces War Machine and Whiplash. First of all, the cast change to Colonel Rhodes feels very out of place.

Whiplash wasn't even introduced properly, his villain name didn't even appear in the movie.

The soundtrack is poorly made. The movie has a lot of issues and that is why it is on this list.

7. Thor

The first Thor was actually not such a bad movie, but it isn't that good either. Sure, it introduces a major superhero into the MCU, it isn't really memorable. The other movies in this are very memorable for being bad, but this one is neither good nor bad, giving it this spot on the list.

6. Captain America: Civil War 

This one feels more like an Avengers movie than a Captain America one. The major problems with this one are - the villain was underdeveloped and the movie got extremely boring most of the time. The only reason this movie isn't lower on the list is due to its introduction of Spider-man and the airport fight scene. This movie is part of the transitional period from normal movies to the Infinity saga and this is probably the reason for its drawbacks

5. Thor: The Dark World

The worst movie of the Thor franchise. Just watching the poster for this movie makes me wanna throw up. The villain wasn't given enough depth and it doesn't even give much to the MCU, considering that Fat Thor explained the whole movie in Endgame.

A word of advice- Skip this one and watch Thor: Ragnarok.

4. Avengers: Age of Ultron

This is Marvel Studios' attempt to change a classic story in the comics and this one disappoints. Given, how good the first one was, Age of Ultron is a severe let-down in the MCU. The only problem in this movie is that it is just boring. The story in the comics is what fans wanted and Marvel did not deliver.

3. The Incredible Hulk

I put off watching this one until after Endgame and I think that I made the smart move. This movie isn't just terrible. It's cringey and a terrible movie to introduce such an important character in the MCU. Am I the only one glad to see the cast change from Edward Norton to Mark Ruffalo?

Just don't watch this one. 

2. Iron Man 3

The worst movie in the Iron Man franchise. We get a fire-breathing Mandarin and an introduction if AIM, but no MODOK.

This one was also boring and put many to sleep. Don't watch this one, you won't regret it.

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

The movie is the worst movie in the MCU. The only reason it's this low is that it doesn't have anything to take away from it. It is incredibly boring. It has the worst soundtrack ever and it puts you to sleep 99% of the time. Introducing the Winter Soldier, this one is just terrible. It is a pathetic excuse for a superhero movie and it is for this reason that it is the worst MCU movie in recorded history.
